1. Transmittance: This point is difficult to identify with the naked eye, and it is best to measure it with optical instruments; Another stupid way is to cut a small piece of each type of protective film to be selected and put it in the middle of the computer desktop and paste it in turn, and then open a blank WORD file to check the whitening degree of the blank WORD file in the areas with and without the film or different film areas (the professional point is called brightness). The brightest material can be selected by comparison. Its transparency is the best protective film.


2. Fog: The haze is mainly seen when the display is turned off. After the different protective films to be selected are applied in turn, the more visible the screen background color is, the smaller the haze is. Of course, the better this material is. This method is easier to see the difference if the black test board is used. Another way is to turn on a fluorescent lamp in a slightly dark room, tear the protective film off the upper and lower release film, hold it between the eyes and the light, and carefully check whether there is a layer of misty things evenly distributed in the protective film, which is the culprit that affects the haze. The more serious the misty things are, the worse the haze is, the worse the material is, and vice versa; Note that haze will affect transmittance, but it is different from transmittance!


3. Static electricity: Because the LCD is a sensitive device that is afraid of static electricity, the smaller the static electricity is when pasting the protective film, the better. The test method is to prepare the protective film to be tested (3 layers of material or 2 layers of material), smoke a cigarette, knock some soot on the table top, or get some small paper scraps on the table top, then tear off the top protective film of the protective film (this step is for 3 layers of material), and then tear off the protective film of the silicone layer, When tearing off this protective film, immediately put the use layer (silica gel surface) close to the soot or paper scraps to see whether the protective film will adsorb these things onto the silica gel layer of the protective film and whether the adsorption degree is strong. The stronger it is, the worse the static electricity generated by this material is, and the better it is. As far as I know, only the whole series of materials produced by Fuji Kopin in Japan will not be adsorbed at all, which belongs to anti-static electronic grade materials.


4. Anti-scratch: This is the most concerned point and has been basically solved by all manufacturers. At present, the anti-scratch materials in the industry are basically the same (2-3H), with good characteristics. There is only a difference between anti-scratch and non-scratch. The standard method is to press and push the pencil with hardness of 3H (available in stationery stores) of Sanling brand in Japan for 10 times at an angle of 45 degrees and a force of 500G. If there is no scratch, it is considered to meet the 3H hardness requirement. The simple method is to use a slightly hard metal device or a newly cut nail to scrape on the surface of the material with the strength of a regular stylus. If it is very easy to scratch, it can be determined that it is not scratch resistant, and if it is not scratch, it can be determined that it is scratch resistant. However, the cutting and processing manufacturers should pay more attention to the uniformity of the scratch resistance of the whole piece or batch of materials, because there are still some material manufacturers that have not done a good job in coating uniformity.


5. Whether to prevent fingerprint: Because the screen size is getting larger and larger in recent years, and more and more smart machines are added with the application of capacitive screen (touch with finger, which is different from the old resistive screen, which needs to be scratched with pen), the protective film needs to have the function of preventing fingerprint more and more. Now such products are expected by more and more customers.
